Picnic trip in a giant canoe in Repovesi National Park
A nice half-day canoe trip in a huge and safe canoe. A certified guide to Repovesi National Park, our skipper, tells about nature and the park during the tour.
The trip includes breaks near a rock painting and in a fine natural theater.
We make coffee/tea by a campfire with a small Finnish-style picnic meal.
The group size is 5-18 people.
In one giant canoe, we can take 8-9 adults in addition to the skipper. The skippers take care of loading the canoes and guide the hikers to their places. The canoes are stable and have a safe load capacity of 1100 kg.
The tour is suitable
The trip is suitable for almost everyone over the age of 12 who has normal physical ability. An adult can accompany children over the age of 7.
The most important thing for the composition of the group is a sufficient number of adults to canoeing.
Canoes move easily, so five paddlers are enough for one canoe. However, we must take into account the day’s weather.
Canoeing and short walks are easy.
The tour is available during meltwater from mid-May to early October. You can check the availability online on the calendar, green days.
