Paddling on the lake Niskajärvi near Verla

Excursions are made during the meltwater daily from May to early October. The trip must be booked six days before the start of the trip.

The place of departure and return: Repojotos paddling port, Nauriskarkiantie 34, Kouvola

Time: Departure at 10 am and return at 2 pm, or by appointment.

Canoeing is easy.

There is a secure car park at the departure point.

The trip is made on clear water Niskajärvi. We take a picnic break in great surroundings, in a nature reserve. During the break, we explore the diverse nature of the island. Waterbirds can be seen during the trip. Let’s learn to recognize how black-throated diver and red-throated differ from each other. During the excursion, we might see the island’s regular guest, the osprey.

We will also learn about the prehistory of the region and hear about the oldest crops in Europe.

A group trip suitable for everyone over 12 years old. Ask the younger ones for the result. Large canoes are safe and load-bearing. The factory promises a safe single canoe capacity of 1,100 pounds. There are two canoes available.

Canoeing is easy, about 5 km in total.

When dressing, pay attention to the weather of the day. Bring your camera!

The trip cannot be made during a storm or thunderstorm. In such a case, the weather can be expected to improve, or the trip can be postponed to another free time. If the trip is completely canceled due to the storm, we will refund the advances paid in full.

The tour operator has liability insurance covering the organizer’s activities and equipment such as canoes and their functionality. We recommend leisure or other accident insurance to the participant to secure their own activities.
