Summer trip in Repovesi National Park

The excursion can be done during the meltwater from May to August, taking into account the weather. The tour must be booked one week before the day of the tour.

The departure time of the trip is agreed separately according to the customer’s wishes. Normal Departure Time is 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.

The trip lasts about four hours.

Hiking is mostly easy. Some height differences make hiking a little more demanding. Also, there are some points on the route that requires caution.

The tour starts at the gate of the national park at the moment of welcome and information. We can hike the route in the desired direction, either first to the suspension bridge or small manual ferry. The choice of direction is influenced by the conditions of the day and the needs of the group.

The path “Ketunlenkki” has the most interesting places to see and experience in Repovesi National Park: the 50-meter-long suspension bridge, the manual ferry “Ketunlossi”, and the great views on the hill “Katajavuori”. There are also two campfire sites along the route where a break will be held.

Catering services can be agreed upon with the customer separately at any time. The basic excursion always includes coffee/tea and a traditional picnic lunch, campfire sausage, and pastry. Alternatively, you can have a full lunch by the fire and, if you wish, as soon as you arrive, coffee/tea with meat or fish-filled bread/bun.

According to our principles of sustainable nature tourism, we avoid disposable tableware and plastic. Also, this principle includes local food. Meals are prepared nearby using nearby grain.

As an additional service to the trip, you can order a picnic instead of a full lunch or dinner. Those arriving from behind the trip may need welcome coffees/teas with filled buns. These can be agreed upon separately. We will be happy to tell you about the possibilities of the time.

When dressing, pay attention to the weather of the day. According to the trip, it is good to bring drinks, 0.5 l of water is a good solution.

The trip cannot be made during a storm or thunderstorm. In such a case, the weather can be expected to improve, or the trip can be postponed to another free time. If the trip is canceled completely due to the storm, we will refund the advances paid in full.

A little rain does not hurt. We have raincoats included for those who need them.

The tour operator has liability insurance, which covers the organizer’s activities and equipment such as canoes and their functionality. We recommend leisure or other accident insurance to the participant to secure their own activities.
