Rent a canoe from Repojotos Paddling Station

Repojotos’ paddling equipment, including kayaks, open canoes, and SUP boards, is mainly stored at the paddling harbor by a lake above Verla on the shore of clear Lake Niskajärvi. From there, you can go canoeing or kayaking for a day trip or longer.

From the Repojotos kayaking port, you can easily reach Repovesi National Park. However, there is enough distance, so it is advisable to prepare for an overnight stay. Overnight stays are great at the resting places for kayakers in Niskajärvi or on the uninhabited small islands on the side of Lake Vuohijärvi.

Resting places for paddlers

There are two convenient resting spots for paddlers in the Repojotos paddling area, both of which are fully equipped and easily accessible. In addition to the pier, both places have a large table, a campfire, and seats around the campfire. In addition, there is also a wooden shed and a dry toilet.

You can spend the night in a tent near the resting places. But you must not reserve the whole place for yourself. There must always be free access for other paddlers as well.

The rest areas are owned and maintained by the local trail organization, Jaalan Jaloiset, with whom we cooperate closely.

Mutiansaari

The nearest resting place from Repojotos is about three kilometers away on a nature-protected island, Mutiansaari. There are no other buildings in the area, making it a perfect location for those seeking tranquility. The entire Lake Niskajärvi is otherwise very peaceful.

Mutiansaari is a large area with plenty of opportunities for observing nature. At the western end of the island, there is a grove-like forest, including forest lindens. An osprey has lived up on the hill for many years.
